Advertising Anri

GRD 4350

Stan gave us many interesting questions to think about for this project.
For example:
How do you keep reinventing yourself?
What are your strengths?
What do you bring to the table?
and of course the basic, Who, What, Where, and Why.

What I wanted to do with these posters, was not explain all my skills and name out everything I've done, but I wanted to show what I can do. They have my resume, and here I wan to convey, that I have those skills, and this is what I can do with them; Leave them wanting more and intrigues about my process.

Here are my two posters. I hope with these I can intrigue the potential clients/job interviewer enough to where I can elaborate and answer more of their questions.

Advertising - Me

GRD 4350

Here is the burning question... How do I advertise me?

First Step:
Identify your strengths and weaknesses
What programs do you feel more comfortable in?
Look at all your portfolio, is there a trend?
(i.e. colors, fonts, style...)

Step Two:
How do you keep reinventing yourself?
What makes you different?
What part of your history are you bringing to the table?

This specific Ad project is geared towards our previews internships.

Like I said in my previous post, I am now working for the Division of Student Affairs at Georgia State University, where I am a web specialist and a graphic designer.

Before this internship, I was an intern at Yola.com based in San Francisco. Thee I have a number of jobs (I was there every summer from 2009-2012): Product Designer Intern, Product Developer Intern and Product Management Intern.

For this project, I will be advertising my dosing skills and my graphics skills. Very vague I know, but It will come together nicely. I want my employers to know that I have experience and that I know what I am doing, Confidence!!! I have struggled with that before, but it is time I just go with my gut!

With this new found confidence, I have come up with my two posters 5 minutes into the lecture. Here are my sketches I did on my ipad in class...

For the first design (which will be for the Division of Student Affaris) I will be add a lot of color and make a 3D type of design flowing in from the top left ( i might even make it explode from the somewhere off center). Then inside the boxes I will place different skills and programs I like to use. The primary text on there will be something with imagination and inspiration being intertwined or on the boxes spelling it out. Either way, I want those words to be dominant in my ad.

For the second design, I want thins "in the computer" feel. But instead of straight forward, I will make it slanted and tilted a little for more of a dramatic dimensional feel. The wording will be, "I am the CSS to your HTML" ( just for chuckles) the I am still debating on the secondary text between "We can code the world" or "Lets design great things together".. but that sounds too corny and weird, considering my primary text.

Hopefully I can finish these soon! They are due Thursday!!!

Best,
Anri

Hey Peeps!! I'm Back

So I have been gone all summer, doing not so exciting things.

There isn't too much to say, but here are some screenshots of things I did/designed/ and was influenced by!!

I just realized I have no photos or records of what I did... I need to get on that! ^.^

But I have been working at Georgia State University at the Division of Student Affairs as a student assistant. My title is Web Specialist/Graphic Designer.

I also took a printmaking class, which was so cool!! Here are some images from that!

GREAT THINGS TO COME!!
